The
common problem that occurs in SMPN 1 Rowokangkung is a problem of activity and
student learning outcomes in math are still low. This is due to the teachers
teach that tend to lecture because it considers the ability of students is low
and they can not finish their material on time. It is necessary that to find
alternative study that can increase the activity of the students so that the
results can increase. One of the possing problem method which is a method of
learning that emphasizes on activities to formulate the problem so that it can
improve their ability to solve the problems. From the results of classroom
action research using possing problem method in class VIII F obtained results
an increase in the activities of teachers and students respectively by 11.1%
and 9.9%. Being on student learning outcomes can increase the average student
learning outcomes by 9.9 from early in the first cycle of 65.3 to 75.2 in the
second cycle and increase the classical completeness of 30.7% of the original
25, 9% in the first cycle to 56.6% in the second cycle. It is proved that
learning by using problem possing method can increase the activity and results
of class VIII F student of SMPN 1 Rowokangkung
