Abstract

The purpose research was to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of development supervision to improve the teaching skills. Research problems are formulated, “Is the implementation of development supervision can improve the teaching skills?” Research subjects consisted of two teachers of SDN Kepatihan 05 dan SDN Kepatihan 06Jember. Instrument used for data collection is a interview guide for the data reveal teachers skills in preparing the learning process, the observation (supervision) to disclose the data skills of teachers in implementing the learning process, and observation to determine student participation in the learning process. Conclusions: First, the implementation development supervision of effective to enhance the skills of teachers in implementing the learning process. Second, the implementationdevelopmentsupervision effective to improve the ability of teachers in planning lessons. And third, other results showed that development supervisionto improve student participation in the learning process.
