Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the corellation between independence and achievement motivation with achievement. The formulated hypothesis is that there is a positive correlation between independence and achievement motivation with achievement. The subject of is research were 240 first an second class state yunior high school students in Jember were selected by means of Stratified Area Random Sampling. Meanwhile, the instrument of this research used by independence and achievement motivation scale by Adi and raport. The result of this research using by means One-way regression analysis technique and parcial correlation is: First, there is positive significant correlation between independence and achievement motivation with achievement. Second, there is positive significant correlation between independence with achievement. It means that the higher independence, the higher achievement too. Third, there is positive significant correlation between achievement motivation with achievement. It means that the higher achievement motivation, the higher achievement too.
