Abstract

Based on preliminary observations, the students of class IX C in SMP Negeri 1 Sumberbaru. assume that math is a subject many formulas and difficult to learn, so the interest in learning mathematics a very low, especially the material flat wake which similarity and congruent. That is, look at the KKM of student learning only 52.5%. Research problem is how improving learning outcomes of students of class IX C SMP Negeri 1 Sumberbaru in identifying flat wake which similarity and congruent through the implementation of the model group investigation?. The research goal is to describe the learning outcome of students of class IX C SMP Negeri 1 Sumberbaru in identifying the flat wake which similarity and congruent through the implementation of the model group investigation. Data were taken through the test and non-test. Instrument test form learning achievement test, while non tests such as the observation and interviews. The results showed that through the application of model study group investigation can be improving learning outcomes to identify the flat wake which similarity and congruent can be realized. The increase, respectively reached 52.5% (KKM Pra cycle), 72.5% (KKM Cycle I), then increased again to 87.5% (KKM Cycle II). It can be concluded that the application of the investigative group was able to improve students’ learning achievement, especially in material flat wake which similarity and congruent. Advice, as an alternative to improve learning outcomes, teacher’s can apply the model investigation group in learning math, but will have the more mature preparation in order to obtain better results.
